As a prime example, Unique was involved in the delivery of a BREAAM ‘Very Good’ rated data centre in Dagenham, East London.

This 24,000m² steel shell data centre and an accompanying gatehouse are located on a 55,000m² site and form a key part of the London 1 Data Centre.

To support the campus style aesthetics of the building as well contribute to its levels of sustainability and security, Unique fabricated and installed Kawneer AA100 curtain walling.

This particular system offers numerous benefits including impressive design flexibility, substantial structural capability and certification to CWCT standards for wind load resistance, weather sealing and watertightness.

In addition, Kawneer AA100 curtain walling offers good thermal performance helping to reduce energy consumption.

This complements a holistic approach to sustainability employed across the entire building. It also features PV (photovoltaic) arrays to generate electricity from renewable solar energy, grey water harvesting, and an external living wall.
