Thanks to our ability to deliver high quality, reliable solutions on time, on budget and with minimal snagging, we have an impressive track record of supporting projects throughout the UK.

This includes projects in the North of England, where we recently worked alongside a longstanding client, Winvic Construction Ltd on a PBSA scheme on Lisbon Street in Leeds.

This scheme, which meets BREEAM excellent standards for sustainability, entailed a 24-storey tower being built on the site of the former Leeds International Swimming Pool. The scheme provides 548 single occupancy, en-suite student bedrooms across a mix of cluster flats and self-contained studio apartments.

To ensure a vibrant student living environment, this PBSA development incorporates a wide range of shared amenities including social and learning spaces, a cinema room, gym, games area, relaxation rooms and a first floor roof terrace. Its location also offers excellent pedestrian access to Leeds city centre.

To support the success of this project, Unique fabricated and installed approximately 1000

WarmCore^® aluminium hybrid windows in a dual colour finish, consisting of RAL 1036 gold on the exterior and white on the interior.

These windows also combine the exceptional aesthetics and durability of aluminium with superior energy efficiency thanks to their innovative thermal core.

In fact, they offer U-values of just 1.3 W/(m2k) when used with double glazing and of 0.8 W/(m2k) when combined with triple glazing.

Unique also supplied and installed curtain walling and entrance doors from the range of high performance, sustainable, architectural aluminium building products and systems manufactured by Kawneer.
