Unique Opens Windows of Opportunity at Great Central Railway Leicester
Unique Window Systems has won a prestigious contract to design, supply and install our cutting-edge Tufacade curtain walling system as part of the refurbishment of Great Central Railway Station in Leicester.
Leicester Great Central Railway Station has been vacant for nearly 50 years after it closed in 1969 and the station was opened in 1899 by the Great Central Railway. Unique Window Systems are delighted, as a Leicester-based company, to be contributing to the restoration of one of the city’s most historic monuments.
The station is set to be the centre-point of a new £50 million development and will be a significant addition to Leicester’s pedestrianisation plans, revitalised as a leisure and nightlife destination.
