Unique Window Systems, for the fourth consecutive year, have been included in the London Stock Exchange Group’s (LSEG) 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain report.
The report is based upon company status, size and age, sector benchmarking and, most notably, financial performance. Inclusion within the report is dependent upon each company’s average annual turnover growth rate, which is calculated over a three-year period (based on four sets of accounts, where four sets of accounts are available), with the calculations weighted to favour latest year growth.
Sunil Patel, Joint Managing Director, Unique Window Systems, said: “We are absolutely delighted to, once again, be named as one of the London Stock Exchange Group’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2020. Our inclusion in the report for the fourth consecutive year recognises Unique Window Systems’ amazing journey from a Leicester-based fenestration company to one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of architectural aluminium and PVCu fenestration building products.
“This achievement and the backbone of our success is through millions of pounds of investment in both our PVCu and aluminium production facilities and our commitment to delivering a world-class service to our commercial and trade clients, whose loyalty we truly appreciate. Furthermore, our talented and hardworking staff are at the very core of our continued success and I would like to extend my thanks to the entire Unique team.
“This in turn has led to significant and consistently exponential revenue growth; a key performance indicator of the 1000 Companies Report. We now look forward to continuing this upward growth trajectory and opening up new and exciting avenues of opportunity for Unique Window Systems in the months and years to come. We will be hoping for five years in a row in 2021!”
David Schwimmer, CEO, London Stock Exchange Group, said: “This report highlights the vital role of SMEs in driving economic growth, leading innovation and providing jobs across the UK. In this challenging year for businesses, it is more important than ever to shine a light on these stories of resilience and entrepreneurship. The success of UK SMEs is crucial as we rebuild a post COVID-19 economy, and London Stock Exchange Group is committed to helping growth companies achieve their potential.”
The Rt Hon John Glen MP, Economic Secretary to the Treasury, said: “SMEs are the engine room of our economy. They have risen to the immense challenges of this year with resilience and ingenuity, and we are proud to support them with one of the most generous and comprehensive packages for businesses anywhere in the world. It is more important than ever that we champion the companies in this year’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain report and many others like them – they are creating jobs, spurring on our economic recovery, and building the industries of the future.”
